Our Mission
Our mission is to help farmers reduce their agricultural water waste. By using drones to survey crop fields, we can help farmers to strategically manage their water use with the power of AI. We envision a sustainable future where water waste is minimized, allowing for both communities and the environment to thrive.
Who We Are
We’re brothers from La Jolla, California, who are interested in developing technologies to tackle environmental problems, both in our community and on a global scale.

Software Developer and EngineerLuke is in the 11th grade, and likes to code and help his community. Some of his hobbies include reading about AI and working on research projects.

Design DirectorJacob is in the 9th grade, and has an interest in mechanical engineering. In his free time, he practices debate with his school team.
Overview
The Hardware
We use a DJI Mavic Air 2S to scan crop fields and a custom solar-powered dock to charge the drone when it’s not in use.
The Software
Our project uses Roboflow to train an AI object detection model to recognize areas of cropland in need of water.

HARVEST can help farmers to diminish their water waste, saving both money and the environment.
Our Advantages
User-Friendliness
With an incredibly simple UI, farmers won’t have to worry about diving deep into the data to get their results. Our AI algorithm does all the calculations, then walks them through possible improvements.
Full Automation
The charging dock that comes with our drone allows farmers to set it up once and then let it do its thing — like a smart vacuum cleaner.
Real-Time Insights
Our camera streams crop footage to the cloud in real time, meaning that the user doesn’t have to wait for the scan to finish to review their results. Live data, no storage card needed.

HARVEST
HARVEST is a groundbreaking solution transforming traditional agricultural irrigation by using an advanced system of AI-powered drones, real-time aerial imagery, soil moisture analysis, and predictive algorithms to minimize agrarian water consumption. We were inspired to create it after learning about how agricultural water waste in the Tijuana River Watershed negatively impacts our community.
